Blues Exit Youth Cup on PenaltiesWed 11th Dec 2013 21:43 Town’s U18s exited the FA Youth Cup at the third round stage, losing a penalty shoot-out 4-2 to Sunderland at Portman Road after normal time and extra-time had ended 1-1. Jack Willbye lashed in a brilliant 45-yard strike for the Blues in the first half with Lynden Gooch equalising for the visitors after the break.
John Lyall DiesWed 19th Apr 2006 11:25 Former Town boss John Lyall died of a heart attack late last night at the age of 66. Lyall was manager at Town between 1990 and 1994, taking the Blues to the old Second Division title in 1991/92.
